Considering that bitcoin mining is one of the most power consuming activities available out there, we suggest to pair this activity with renewable energy sources, to reduce the impact on our planet and our energy bills.
Bitcoin with solar power, this is a new frontier, more sustainable and with higher profit margins for the most diffused electronic money. Of which transactions and money minting are handled by a decentralized network consuming monstrous quantities of energy. Based on estimates bitcoin mining consumes approximately 7-8TWh per year of electricity and this number is destined to further growth.
It is beneficial to use the energy obtained by solar power plants for crypto mining. The sun itself will become a profit generating resource. We have observed that in favorable conditions the sun is capable of generating electricity at lower prices compared to traditional resources, especially in power parks created in deserts with an optimal angle for sun irradiation.
This way we reach two objectives, we lower the ambient footprint left and the amount of emissions from fossil fuels, on the other side we obtain a low cost power for data mining. Another possibility of obtaining additional profits is to use the excess power generated by solar power plants which is often sold for low or even negative prices.
